Iron sulfate is needed by soybeans for chlorophyll synthesis. Studies with wheat have shown that spraying wheat with iron sulfate will increase yield, quality of the wheat as well as protein levels of the wheat. The sulfate portion of the iron sulfate may have as positive effect on grains as the iron. This would be dependent on the soil type, pH and growing conditions.
