Cobalt is a plant “bio-stimulant” because it is required by nitrogen fixing bacteria especially on root nodules of legumes. Cobalt is an enzyme precursor and required by the plant. Enzymes are produced in order to increase the uptake of elements, which are used to increase the nutrient dense products, which result as wheat, corn, soybeans, etc. Cobalt is concentrated in the young actively growing plants.
